Empowerment

For disenfranchised individuals from another country and culture, learning English and life skills has a positive impact on their quality of life. Women become empowered through the knowledge, skills, and support they receive at Caroline House. They are able to understand job applications and read school and medical forms. They are able to discuss concerns with their children’s teachers, doctors and caregivers. Learning English gives women the ability to communicate. It is the first critical step on the journey toward a more secure and stable life for themselves and their children.
