Walk-a-thon 2012: Thank You!

On Saturday, April 14, families and friends of Caroline House gathered at 10 AM for the 3rd annual Walk-A-Thon for Caroline House’s Children’s Programs.  It was a beautiful, sunny spring morning – perfect for a stroll around the track at Fairfield University.  Through dedicated planning and coordination by students of Fairfield University, Sacred Heart University, and the University of Bridgeport, there was plenty of walking and talking and fun.  Women students of Caroline House brought their husbands and children - many of the kids who attend the Caroline House preschool program.  We had plenty of volunteers and staff join in and add to the festivities.  Beautiful balloons livened up the atmosphere.

People were led in Zumba dance by Caroline House musical guest and volunteer, Lyndy Toole.  DJ Jim Dunn played some rocking tunes to keep up the high energy spirit.

Volunteers help students celebrate Valentine’s Day

We are grateful to the students of St. Thomas School and St. Ann School who worked together to present Valentine’s Day gifts to the women who attend ESL classes at Caroline House.   Student tutors from the National Charity League brought Valentine gifts for the children in our after-school program.  Thank you St. Thomas School, St. Ann School, the National Charity League and all the people who give of themselves to help the people of Caroline House.
