Support Services
Caroline House teachers and staff strive to meet the individual needs and challenges of each student. Women often need help finding affordable medical care, housing, food and clothing donations, or resources to pursue their GED or other education options. Women are provided assistance with tasks such as understanding and filling out their children’s school forms or scheduling doctor appointments. Teachers also work with preschool children, parents and local schools to confirm a child’s placement into English-only kindergarten.
Caroline House networks with over 40 organizations to help students through questions and challenges. Organizations include the Center for Women and Families, Family Services Woodfield, St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Optimus Health Care, Fairfield University, Sacred Heart University, the Bridgeport Parent Center, and the Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition.
