Evaluation

We evaluate our programs to ensure we are providing services that best meet the needs of the women and children. Our staff meets regularly to discuss classroom plans, student progress, and any concerns or issues. Modifications are made to the program if necessary based on student need and teacher recommendations. Extra help in the form of one-on-one tutoring is provided to women and children needing additional assistance.

Caroline House sets realistic and obtainable goals for student achievement. Student progress is measured through pre- and post-semester testing, textbook chapter quizzes, workbook activities and reading and speaking exercises.  Measurable outcomes for ESL students are based on the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems (CASAS). Preschool measurable outcomes follow child development professional guidelines for language, social, emotional and motor skill milestones.
