Part-time Development Associate   (10-15 hrs. per week)

Reports to: Development Director

Essential Functions:
•    Maintenance of donor database, DonorPerfect
•    Administrative support for Development Director and Executive Director
•    Event Coordination
•    Social media & website maintenance

Scope: 
The Development Associate at Caroline House will report directly to the Development Director (DD).  The Development Associate will be responsible for supporting the work of the DD with an emphasis on data entry, data analysis, donation processing, and donor relations.

Responsibilities:
•    DonorPerfect data entry and donation processing
•    Donor relations (thank you notes, emails, phone calls, and other stewardship touches as needed for donors at different giving levels)
•    Tracking and reporting contributions
•    Mailings and mailing list maintenance
•    Administrative support for special events
•    Work with the DD to develop and manage the creation and maintenance of all fundraising operational guidelines and standards for the recording of funds related to the database
•    Provide timely and accurate progress and other analysis reports to the DD, as requested
•    Working with DD to develop and manage fundraising operational guidelines and standards
•    Provide timely and accurate analysis reports to DD
•    Maintaining donor confidentiality
•    Processing online transactions, copying checks, tracking weekly batches
•    Work to create routines to regularly and rigorously monitor data integrity
•    Developing standard procedures for error identification and correction
•    Performing regular maintenance tasks including updates and upgrades to software, and obtaining and managing additional software modules as needed
•    Administrative support for the annual appeal drives
•    Administrative support for the annual report and seasonal newsletter
•    Annuity gift support

Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:
•    Proficiency in DonorPerfect or comparable non-profit donor database
•    Accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills, understanding the need for maintaining donor confidentiality
•    Ability to set priorities, follow through tasks to completion, work well under pressure
•     Self-directed with strong ability to plan ahead, to work independently, and set and adhere to deadlines
•    Team-oriented work style
•    The ability to participate in all aspects of the gift cycle and an understanding of donor-centered fundraising
•    Excellent editing, writing, and verbal skills

Minimum Requirements:
•    A bachelor's degree in business or a related field or at least 3 years experience in database management
