Sandra:
I have been a student at Caroline House for the past year and a half. During this time my life has changed a lot. I am able to speak English much better now and can help my older daughter with her homework. Now I can communicate with her teachers in English as well as speak on the phone and write business letters. I am more confident now that I am able to speak the language of the country I live in.My youngest daughter, Mimi, has been very happy in the Caroline House childcare program. She is also learning to speak in English which will be very helpful when she goes to Kindergarten.
Araceli:
I am very surprised at how well I have learned English at Caroline House. The teachers were so patient with me as I struggled to learn to speak, read and write English correctly. This will help me so much in getting a job and in helping my children in school. Thank you everyone.
Pathouma:
Being at Caroline House has been a very special experience for me. The staff and all of the women who attend classes have helped me so much. My knowledge of English is so much better than I could ever imagine. Because I have learned English so well I am able now to go on and continue to take courses to become better educated.
Luz:
I cannot begin to tell you how much Caroline House means to me. My time there has been filled with growing in my knowledge of English, computer studies, and learning more about people and life in general. I was so happy to have had the opportunity to come here. My confidence has grown as well as my English speaking and writing. Because I know how to use the computer I am able to communicate with my family in Colombia on the Internet. This makes me very happy.
Lourdes:
If I have to say what was the most important thing of being in Caroline’s House, I think that it is not English. I feel that I’ve really improved my English but over that there’s something much more important. The biggest thing is the people I’ve met here.
Today I am a different person. The women in this house are not ordinary people, they are special ones. Because of that I learned how to see my life with completely better point of view than before. I believe that I grew up as a human being but my faith grew much, much more. Now I am sure that everything is possible because we’ve prayed together and we’ve learned and cared about each other no matter our differences.
I found something in a book that says how we feel about the women who work in here, and it says,” We love and appreciate you, thank you for being the light of wisdom and knowledge, shining brightly in the life of all those that you touch by encouraging then to let their best come forward.”
Brenda:
I have learned so much since I have come to Caroline House. I have become much more confident now that I know English better. I believe that everything is possible and that I will one day be able to get a very good job. Thank you to all of my teachers who have helped me. I believe that I can fly! Thank you, everyone.
Alicia:
I have studied four levels of English at Caroline House and now that I am ready to leave, I want to thank everyone who has been so good to me. I have learned a lot and am a much stronger person now. My two sons have loved coming to Caroline House to learn also. Thank you Jean, Gloria and Beverlry for all that you have done for them. I know they will do very well in Kindergarten. I will miss all of you and all of my special friends here. Thank you .
